Discover the science behind our innovative RNA therapeutics, transforming groundbreaking research into life-changing treatments.
Flow of Genetic Information
Genetic information flows from DNA to RNA and proteins within biological systems. Transcription converts DNA into messenger RNA (mRNA), with enzymes like RNA polymerase guiding the process. In eukaryotic cells, the primary mRNA (pre-mRNA) undergoes processing—adding a 5′ cap, poly-A tail, and splicing—before becoming mature mRNA. This mature mRNA is then translated into proteins at the ribosome, driving essential cellular functions.

ProGenis Chemistry Platform: THIOMORPHOLINOs
Thiomorpholino oligonucleotide (TMO) is a newly developed robust class of therapeutic RNA chemistry. TMOs can be efficiently synthesised using solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis methodologies, and has shown to have excellent exon skipping activity at extremely low doses. In comparison to other currently available nucleic acid chemistries, TMO was found to be far superior to induce splice switching.
